Poem

 

Living in your Shadow

 

Oh how handsome they were

Always wearing a smile

She is deaf and blind

And he treats her like a child.

Aren't they adorable?

Isn't she sweet?

She is all he wants her to be

Obedient, understanding and SILENT.

She always seeks permission

Loved him too much to go astray.

She worries for him at night

IT'S DARK

And he is her only light.

The veil was rend

And her words started to flow

Her eyes became opened

And the hurt started to show.

The fun withered,

She had sacrificed all her life.

He had had his TIME when she was deaf and blind.

"I was always living in your shadow,

Now it's my time to shine"
