St George’s College Hall of Fame – Men for others
Remember when you could get together with your former classmates and celebrate great high-school memories? This banquet did just that when scores of St George’s College (STGC) Old Boys joined four of their colleagues, for induction to the STGC Hall of Fame for the year 2018. This event was organised on September 29, 2018 at the Spanish Court in New Kingston.
Hosted every two years, the St George’s College Hall of Fame Banquet is a grand induction event to recognise Old Boys and faculty of the school who have demonstrated community spirit, excellence and achievement in their field, inspiring leadership, national and/or international recognition, vision and innovation, and service to the college.
Since 2000, 53 outstanding old boys and faculty members have been inducted. These fine gentlemen represent the ongoing legacy of St George’s College.
On April 19, 2021, the college launched a project to restore an icon of that legacy, one that is dear to the hearts of all Georgians – the historic O’Hare Building. Based on previous renovation efforts in 2009, the O’Hare Restoration and Infrastructural Development Project is scheduled to conclude in April 2023 when the O’Hare will be 110 years old.
Here are some of the highlights from STGC Hall of Fame 2018!
