Jan 20: JMD falls to $121 against USD

The Jamaica dollar traded at an average rate of $121.01 against the US dollar on Wednesday, down fifteen cents from Tuesday.
It also traded at $169.94 against the pound sterling, depreciating 33 cents; and at $83.58 against the Canadian dollar, losing 53 cents from Tuesday.
In the US dollar market, demand outstripped supply with foreign exchange traders buying up US$25.69 million while selling US$27.66 million.
The Jamaican dollar has fallen 59 cents or 0.49 per cent year to date against the USD, its main trading partner.
