Rawle appointed chairman of Lasco companies

Consumer food industry veteran James Rawle has been appointed chairman for all three Lasco affiliated companies – Lasco Manufacturing Limited, Lasco Distributors Limited, and Lasco Financial Services Limited.
Rawle previously held the post of deputy chairman for all three companies and has served on the board of Lasco Manufacturing and Lasco Distributors since 2017, the same year he was hired as managing director for the manufacturing entity. He was appointed to the board of Lasco Financial a year later.
The three boards met separately on Thursday, June, 15, and made their decision then regarding the new leadership. Rawle remains managing director of Lasco Manufacturing in addition to his new role as chairman.
He replaces Lascelles Chin, founder of the affiliated companies who passed away on May 27 in Florida. Chin was 86 years old. Rawle,75, has served the food industry for over 45 years. He formerly headed the Jamaican operations of international consumer food group Nestle prior to joining Lasco.
