Minor earthquake rocks Trinidad
PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.9 rocked sections of the twin-island republic on Wednesday afternoon.
The Seismic Research Centre at the University of the West Indies St Augustine campus confirmed that the quake, which occurred around 2:50 p.m., was located at 10.904N, 61.768W, and had a depth of 42.72 km.
Residents in west Trinidad and across the east-west corridor reported feeling the earthquake.
There were no reports of injuries or damage.
The last earthquake recorded occurred on October 4 – that tremor had a magnitude of 5.2.
