No playing with protocols — Dexta Daps headlines strict Celebrity Playground

Top dancehall artiste Dexta Daps was in his element as he headlined Celebrity Playground at the 2021 staging of the Dream Weekend party series held at Waves Beach in Negril, Westmoreland.
The Breaking News entertainer did not disappoint, leaving patrons pleading for more at the first of seven parties to be held over the next five days.
Pulling from his catalogue of hits, Dexta Daps had patrons singing line by line to bring the curtains down on an abbreviated but encouraging start to the internationally acclaimed party series.
The annual event that attracts party-goers from all over the world is being held under strict health protocols, and according to reliable sources in the local health authority, they went above and beyond the guidelines of the Disaster Risk Management Act. This reportedly includes a reduction from 10,000 patrons to 3,000 at each venue and requires patrons to be fully vaccinated or provide a negative COVID-19 result done no sooner than August 3.
Several stations were established at the venue for patrons to observe the health protocols, while local health officials and representatives from the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) were on hand monitoring activities at the event.
The second event of the weekend — YUSH — got underway at 8 a.m. this morning and will feature performances by dancehall legends Beenie Man and Bounty Killer and hits from the '90s and early 2000s from Stone Love, Noah Power, DJ Polish, DJ SpinKing and DJ Chiquidubs. Patrons were asked to dress in dancehall chic for the long-standing event.
