Toni-Ann Singh 'rehearsed and ready' for tonight's Miss World final
Miss World 2019, Jamaica's Toni-Ann Singh, will tonight hand over her crown at the 70th staging of the Miss World competition.
Singh asked users to weigh in on tonight's possible outcome in a post on Instagram, wearing a dress by Jamaican designer Keneea Linton.
"Rehearsed and ready!" said the 26-year-old pageant queen. "Who do you think will take the crown?"
Having won the Miss World title in December 2019, Singh is the longest-reigning titleholder in the competition's history.
The Miss World pageant was postponed in 2020 owing to the coronavirus pandemic, and Singh's reign extended. The big 70th anniversary celebrations were shifted to 2021. However, literally hours before the grand finale in December, a postponement was announced, with the promise that the coronation would take place in the next 90 days.
In January, Miss World announced the 40 semi-finalists who would return to Puerto Rico for the coronation. Miss Jamaica World 2021 Khalia Hall did not make it to this round of the competition.
The crowning of a new Miss World will take place tonight at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
