Hennessy commits to powering world-class musical experiences
Following its spirited showing at the recent Burna Boy Live conert, Hennessy, which is branded ‘the world’s leading cognac’, has reaffirmed its support of music, culture, arts and entertainment, emphasising that the brand “is committed to powering world-class musical experiences for [our] consumers”.
Kamal Powell, regional marketing manager at Campari, distributors for Hennessy, shared that over the years the brand has been known to align with strong, high-value events.
“A lot of planning went into this project, and you have seen the executions throughout the region with different shows under the Hennessy Artistry series and how successful they were, so we had to make sure we delivered on our promise. In our eyes, this project is a success ... patrons are pleased with the unique experience, and I just want to commend Burna Boy, Popcaan, Lila Iké and the other supporting acts for sharing their talent through these stunning performances. We thoroughly enjoyed every second,” Powell said.
Hennessy signed on as the official spirit partner for Burna Boy Live, and were responsible for outfitting the VIP and VVIP areas; and the buildout of the Ultra VIP section. Patrons could also take advantage of the specially designed photo-op areas to document their experience.
One patron, Anna-Maria Graham, who was in the front row in the VVIP section, described the setup as “top tier”.
“Beautiful set-up, well executed, definitely a top-tier setup, just like the brand Hennessy,” she remarked.
Mirroring the spirit and tone of the brand, the VIP section had a Hennessy bar where guests could enjoy complimentary mixes and had an excellent view of the stage. The VVIP section featured golden seating arrangements, food, Hennessy cocktails, photo-op areas, a 360 camera at the entrance, and a panoramic view of the stage. The Ultra VIP boasted a golden deck outfitted with posh seating, premium cuisine, with a Hennessy bar on hand serving appealing mixes.
Event promoter Andrew Ellis also lauded Hennessy’s execution at the concert as exceptional.
Patrons enjoyed performances by Lila Iké, Popcaan and Burna Boy, who performed some of his biggest hits. Reggae icon Beres Hammond, Protoje and singjay Serani blessed the stage for short periods over the course of the event, which ended at about 2 o’clock on Monday morning.
