A royal return for Masicka
Artiste celebrates ‘Generation of Kings’ birthday party Saturday
Off the heels of his Billboard chart-topping album, Generation of Kings (G.O.K), all roads will lead to Plantation Cove in St. Ann on December 16, when the young dancehall giant, Masicka, is set to ignite the stage in celebration of his birthday, dubbed, G.O.K.
The Tyrant hitmaker will be headlining the highly anticipated event sharing the stage with industry heavyweights, Bounty Killer, Kabaka Pyramid, Romain Virgo, Jahshii, Chronic Law, Lila Ike, and Yaksta. The Dragon-sponsored event, hosted by Badda Bling, will also see high-energy juggling from DJs and sound systems such as ZJ Chrome, Bass Odyssey, Bishop Escobar, Shukkle Bus, and Di Unit.
Co-promoter of the event, Romeich Major, shared that patrons are in for a treat. “I feel very good about the upcoming event. Masicka just dropped his album and it’s doing great and you know Masicka for the past couple years has been one of dancehall’s best,” he shared.
“Some of the greatest are also on the line-up so it’s a good mixture of reggae and dancehall and we tek it to the middle of Jamaica, right in St. Ann. Me really a look forward to it and just really want the patrons to come out and party and drink responsibly and enjoy themselves. It’s a launch of G.O.K to Jamaica, it’s a birthday party fi Masicka and just a celebration of a great artiste and friends,” Romeich commented.
Masicka, who recently performed in Kingston after a five-year hiatus, at the Streetz Festival, is expected to deliver nothing short of a top-class set and an electric performance.
