The Hillcrest Avenue home of the popular Kingston Night Market (KNM), known for showcasing the very best of Jamaican talent, culture, and creativity every Tuesday, will bring its month-long celebration of women to a spectacular close this evening. This grand finale, themed ‘The Queens of Sheba’, begins at 5 p.m. and continues through 11 p.m., promising an unforgettable tribute to the strength, creativity, and influence of Jamaican women.

The evening opens with a captivating performance by acclaimed cellist and singer Emily Elliott, setting the stage for a night rich in musical excellence and cultural expression. The celebration will then build momentum with a collaboration between KNM and Italee Watson of the Roots and Culture Activation Project (RCAP), featuring a dynamic showcase of exceptional women talent deeply rooted in Jamaica’s heritage and artistic expression.

A major highlight of the evening will be the much-anticipated announcement of the Kingston Night Market Female Vendor of the Year, an award voted on by the KNM community to recognise outstanding talent, contribution, and dedication.

In keeping with KNM’s mission, the event will also honour distinguished women who have consistently supported artisans and vendors, celebrating their vital role in strengthening and sustaining Jamaica’s creative economy.

“This grand finale is a tribute to the women who create, lead, support, and inspire. We invite everyone to come and experience an unforgettable night of culture, excellence, and the power of women,” Hyacinth McDonald, event coordinator, added.
