The kids - teenagers and some adults, too - were there attending a Child Month show arranged by Mrs Manley. They arrived by the hundreds at Jamaica House where they were treated to a gala performance by a host of entertainers.

The month of May is filled with activities celebrating children. There are several events hosted to entertain and treat children all over the island. Institutions also use the time to educate parents on basic child care.
