French Consul General to see Alliance Francaise
M. Jacques Boizet landed in Jamaica for a five-day visit, where he was expected to meet with the governor general and other dignitaries.

French Consul General for W.I. on visit
The French Consul General for the West Indies M. Jacques Boizet flew in on June 4, 1958, by BWIA Viscount flight from Port-of-Spain.
Here for five days, he will call on His Excellency the Governor, Sir Kenneth Blackburne, at King’s House and also meet members of the Alliance Francaise.
M.Boizet, who is paying his first visit to Jamaica, joined the French Foreign Service in 1947 and served in Paris, Manila, and the Far East. Before coming to the West Indies, he was first secretary and charge d’ affaires at the French embassy in Manila.
M.Boizet will be entertained by the Alliance Francaise tomorrow evening at a cocktail party to be held at the Alliance Francaise headquarters at Caledonia Crescent.
Mr Wellesley Bourke, French consul in Jamaica, met him at the Palisadoes Airport yesterday.
