Time passes and fashions change. The sun dial gives way to the electric clock. The highly ornamented gateway yield to fashionable simplicity. The functional building of yesterday becomes the quaint ruin of today. Everywhere the story is thus written, and the parish of St Andrew has its share. Old aqueduct, old clock, old walls. But certain values withstand Time. Monuments to craftsmanship, to bravery, to tradition, the spirit which prompted them will be appreciated still.
