Burger King, King Street, downtown Kingston hosted the champions and their teachers for lunch on Thursday, February 6, 2003, following the National Spelling Bee Championship.
Morin Seymour, a member of The Gleaner Company's board of directors, makes a cash prize on behalf of the Gleaner Company to Donique Francis, for placing first in the comprehension test.

February is always exciting for the 14 bees across the island. Their hard work goes on show at the National Spelling Bee Finals. Parents, teachers and coaches are always present to witness the exciting competition.
