The British West Indian Airways, in an effort to recognise excellence, decided to award outstanding students at The University of the West Indies. Gloria Lannaman and Walter Rodney copped the top awards.

Top students get awarded

“STUDENT OF THE YEAR” awards were on Thursday presented to Gloria Lannaman and Walter Rodney at the offices of British West Indian Airways BWIA).

Walter Girling, acting manager of BWIA Jamaica, made the presentation. He congratulated Lannaman and Rodney on being selected as the two outstanding students at the university.

Both are third-year students.

Introducing them was Robin Williams, district sales manager of BWIA.
