Lovely Rachel is ‘The Perfect Girl’

PULSE’S search for 'The Perfect Girl' to compete in the Miss Universe beauty pageant in Mexico later this year has ended.

Rachel Stuart, a stunning, beautiful 20-year-old who glittered like a diamond to be crowned Miss Jamaica Universe at Pulse’s headquarters, Trafalgar Road, was crowned last Saturday night.

An overwhelming favourite at the start of the show, Rachel’s pedigree was tested early on when a confident Simone Forbes, a 19-year-old student of CAST who hails from St Ann, set about wooing the crowd with her strong stage presence, before stumbling inthe interview segment and eventually placing third.

Rachel, who is a student in Canada and a member of the Royal Canadian Army, was top on all the judges’ scorecards. With her almost angelic smile, which earned her the sectional prize in that category, the new Miss Jamaica Universe received thunderous applause from the moment she made her entrance, and never looked back.  She possesses a lovely figure, a face that could ignite the coldest heart, and a wonderful skin tone.

She also won the Most Aware sectional prize, for her composed answers in the interview section, and was voted most photogenic.

21-year-old Denise Chen was voted most congenial, while Dona Lisa Clarke won for best skin tone.

Second-place Moonasingh was well composed throughout and did fairly well in the interview section.

Forbes, apart from placing third, won sectional prizes for Best Legs and Best Figure and, but for an attack of nerves in the interview, could have placed higher.
