Amid concerns that the significance of Emancipation was fading over time, members of the government took proactive measures to preserve the memories and rekindle the importance of this historic event. Recognising its cultural and historical significance, they embarked on initiatives to ensure that the spirit of Emancipation remains alive and cherished within the hearts of the nation's people.
