President of Zambia Kenneth Kaunda, bareheaded, but wearing a raincoat, descends the steps of the aircraft in the rain as he arrived at the Palisadoes Airport from Montego Bay in November 1966. Behind him is his Zambian ADC, Mr Chikope, and following is Major Trevor Robinson, his Jamaican ADC, as well as other members of the party. At right is his personal bodyguard.
A section of the crowd that turned out to greet the President can be seen at the rails of the waving platform of the Palisadoes Airport. Below, the sign of welcome greets the President and Mrs. Kuanda.

“I hope I can call her honey,” was how the Prime Minister Sir Alexander Bustamante (seated) reacted as Mrs. Kaunda was introduced to him by Dr. Kenneth Kaunda, President of Zambia (standing at centre), during a visit which they paid to Jamaica House on November 21, 1966. Seated at left is Lady Bustamante, and at right are Senator Hector Wynter. Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, and the Acting Prime Minister, the Hon. Donald Sangster.
