Campion alumni chill and grill at Countryside
Hungry with a passion to give back to the students of their alma mater, the Campion College Alumni Association hosted the fundraiser Chillin' 'n' Grillin' at the Countryside Club last Thursday.
The first in a list of interesting activities to come, Campion past student and public relations officer of the association, Andrew Walcott, told Food: "Last year, the alumni were able to sponsor tuition for two sixth-form students for two years, and this year we want to expand the programme. We would love to sponsor more Campionites for longer periods."
The event was obviously successful with the huge turnout that packed the St Andrew venue, and Walcott confirmed: "We want to reignite the dwindling occurrences, and instil a fundraising culture, no matter who sits on the board of the alumni, and so far, so good because we sold all our tickets for tonight."
