Police Commissioner George Quallo to be installed next week Friday
The installation ceremony for Commissioner of Police George Quallo is to be held next week Friday.
The ceremony will be held at the Police Officer’s Club in St Andrew starting at 2:30 p.m.
Quallo’s appointment took effect on Tuesday.

He replaced Dr Carl Williams who retired in January.

Commissioner Quallo joined the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) on November 29, 1976, and was appointed Assistant Commissioner of Police in December 2010 and Deputy Commissioner in November 2015.
Quallo was previously the Deputy Commissioner of Police with responsibility for the Territorial Operations Portfolio.
Before that, he led various police divisions including Area 4 between March 2012 and December 2015 during which there were three successive years of reduction in murders and major crimes.
