Retired policeman stabbed to death in Portland
A retired policeman is the fourth person to be killed in Portland since the start of the year.
Sixty-five-year-old Homer Davis alias 'Silver Fox' died last night after he was stabbed along the Seaview Farm Road in Port Antonio.
It is reported that Davis and a female companion were in his vehicle in front of a bar at Seaview Farm Road in Port Antonio when the woman's ex boyfriend, called her out.
The woman reportedly got out of the car and an argument started between her and the ex-boyfriend inside the bar.
The police say Davis, upon hearing the commotion, intervened, and proceeded to caution the ex-boyfriend to refrain from any act of violence.
The man reportedly pulled a knife from his waist, and Davis was cut and stabbed several times on the head and upper body.
He was taken to the Port Antonio Hospital where he was pronounced dead about 12:30 a.m.
The ex-boyfriend then fled the scene.
