A jolt from Holt

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I was driving home from work last week and got caught in traffic. This would normally have been a negative experience, but luckily for me, the radio station I was listening to was having a John Holt night and was playing a number of the legendary singer's greatest hits. That was quite a treat for me, as I have always loved Holt's music but rarely get to hear his songs being played on the radio these days.

As I sat there listening to the songs, I started wondering why our music has changed so much. I wondered when we will start producing, in larger numbers, songs of the quality John Holt produced. It made me long for the simpler time of my childhood. I know I might sound like a bitter old fool, but so be it.
