Boyne’s tremendous impact
THE EDITOR, Sir:
How can Jamaicans not be saddened by the death of Ian Boyne? He was a household name locally and in the Jamaican Diaspora. He was a patriot who was always genuinely concerned about the social and economic situations in Jamaica. He had a way with words, and he enriched Jamaican journalism in a profound way while demonstrating professionalism at the highest capacity.
His weekly television programme, Profile, was a medium that he used effectively to bring across success stories of people from different backgrounds sharing their struggles and triumphs. I am certain those stories have impacted viewers' lives to never give up hope. Without a doubt, Ian Boyne had made a tremendous impact on Jamaica, and his legacy will be an inspiration.
I send my condolences to his immediate family, friends, and media fraternity. May his soul rest in peace.
