Quit being judgemental towards disabled
THE EDITOR, Sir:
Doesn’t it agitate you seeing or hearing someone discriminating against, or mistreating, a disabled person? How can someone be so cruel? Hindering them from having jobs to earn an income to satisfy their basic needs? I am so irritated by such behaviour.
Put yourself in the shoes of a disabled person. How would you feel if you knew you wanted to achieve something but you didn’t have the opportunity to get a proper education, a skill or even a job just because you were disabled, or because of people’s judgemental views.
By extension, disabled persons have fewer qualifications and are least likely to be in a job.
From my vantage point, I strongly believe that persons should stop being judgemental towards persons with disabilities.
