Too much innocent blood
THE EDITOR, Sir:
Everybody needs a bodyguard in Jamaica, even the little babies.
Too many young girls and young women are being butchered and slaughtered.
Some years ago, two sisters - ages 21 and 22 - were having their meal at their home, off the Molynes Road, when gunmen invaded and shot them to death. Two young girls went to a shop to purchase goods and they did not return home. About eight or 10 years ago, another young girl was killed with a knife, at Devon House, while waiting on her boyfriend on a planned date.
And, we shouldn't forget those young girls who boarded a taxi after leaving Boys and Girls' Champs some years
ago - their bodies were found in the bushes with multiple stab wounds.
Dog-hearted murderers and criminals have taken on to murdering anyone they feel like, because they know that they can get good lawyers to defend them and set them free - if they are ever caught.
The late Joseph Hill (Culture), a reggae icon, wrote: " ... yuh tink a likkle, tink a likkle innocent blood fade away." Too much innocent blood is running in crime-driven Jamaica.
