Hope Foster finds his Times Store angel
THE EDITOR, Sir:
What a wonderful and heart-warming human story! The article by Dave Rodney, 'Searching for an angel from half-century ago' (Sunday Gleaner, September 30, 2018), is beautiful in so many ways.
1) The kindness of the Jamaican spirit as demonstrated by 'Ms Times Store' to the focal point of the story, Lloyd Foster.
2) The magnanimity that made Mr Foster respond in kind to other 'strangers'.
3) That Mr Foster has excelled to the extent he has demonstrating the ability of our Jamaican people and showing that the sky is NOT the limit. We can go beyond it when we set our minds to it. Congrats to Lloyd Foster for setting this great example for us.
Finally, like Lloyd Foster, I hope 'Ms Times Store' is still alive, has read about herself in the column, that others will tell her if she didn't, and that there will be a thank-you reunion.
LLOYD A. VERMONT
