BNS ABMs 'pop dung' too often

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I am sure that a number of persons will agree with me that trying to access service at an ABM during the pay period (25th of each month and a few days after) is a very stressful situation. I speak particularly of the Bank of Nova Scotia machines as these are more likely to be out of service based on my experience.

We must all agree that digital banking is expected to offer quicker and more dependable services to customers in comparison to manual systems. My recent experience has been that having received my salary on the 25th of October, I visited the BNS ABMs in Cross Roads the following morning, where there are about five machines. Only one machine was working, and, of course, there was a very long line.

After standing in the line for a long time, until I was about fifth in line, the only working machine ceased being operational and we all had to walk away. The following day, I went to every BNS machine I could find in Spanish Town and none was working to as far as Portmore.

My only conclusion concerning this repeated occurrence is the BNS is not ready to offer this type of service to the public.
