Welcome Adventist President Ted Wilson
THE EDITOR, Sir:
The Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Jamaica welcomes Pastor Ted Wilson, the president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church Worldwide. As a young man in 1979, when I accepted the faith, Ted’s father, Neal Wilson, was just given the head of the organisation. The organisation has grown exponentially to incredible levels under the watch of these great ambassadors of the only true faith. We are extremely proud of the imprints of these two remarkable stalwarts. The Adventist Church has a legacy to protect and a people to serve. In the quest for the saving of souls of the downtrodden and disenfranchised, the Seventh-day Adventist Church members have worked assiduously for the protection of people of diverse ethnic and cultural barriers. The Adventist Church has worked in conjunction with its support group’s organisations and created an enviable track record for the helping of the dispossessed in our midst. Many charitable works are done by the Seventh-day Adventist to date, which has secured an endearing wealth of good for the people, some in abject poverty. No one can dispute the grand and holy works of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the precedent they have set to demolish poverty. We need not say more of the handiworks of the people of Jamaica, land we love, and the activities of the Seventh-day Adventist faith. All the various conferences can rest assured that they have done well in the execution of the duties they were summoned to do by God Himself.I do hope the president will have a very warm reception from members of the fraternity, and that he will feel the true spirit of Jamaica most resoundingly.
