Flipping the coin

THE EDITOR, Sir:

There is a constant debate about politician and corruption, and rightly so. The police conduct is also a staple on our daily menu. They are criticised for everything; an easy prey for everyone to hammer. Maybe rightly so, but they can’t be at fault for every bad behaviour displayed in our undisciplined society.

Might I suggest that we spin the coin for a minute or two.

Is it not time that we shine the spotlight on the business community and those enablers that corrupt politicians, civil servant and members of our society. Where is the noise about these people’s behaviour?

Next, we expect a high standard of behaviour from our police. Have we stopped to consider the nasty and deplorable behaviour we show the men and women in uniform?
