God can speak Patois

THE EDITOR, Madam:

In regard to the question ‘can God speak Patois?’ posed by Ethon Lowe in a recent column in The Gleaner, I must sincerely say that I think He can.

Isn’t God the author of all the different languages? It was he who changed the language of those who were building Babel’s tower. Well, if he originates it then there should be no doubt in our mind that he can speak it.

Is there anything too hard for God to do? We might not have heard Him speak it but I’m sure He can speak it quite fluently.

And I think it’s safe to say He understands it quite clearly whenever we speak it.
