Where is France in Haiti crisis?

THE EDITOR, Madam:

For far too long, there has been so much turmoil in Haiti. Various countries around the world need to assist with the situation. The Haitian people also need to assist themselves in no longer having the turmoil there.

Whatever language the people of a country speak tells of the country that conquered them. Prior to gaining its independence in 1804, Haiti was the French colony of Saint-Domingue, hence that’s why Haitians speak French, so where is France now in helping them to bring calm and peace?
