Craving, too, for a better Jamaica

THE EDITOR, Madam:
I cannot say that I read Dr Alfred Dawes’ columns consistently, but from time to time I do stop and read. As I read his final column in The Sunday Gleaner, ‘Jamaica Farewell’, I was saddened by the reality of our reputation as ‘Jamaicans’. Not that I was unaware of this ‘truth’ but keep hoping for a ‘NEW Truth’. The TRUTH that we are a loving people, a talented people, a resilient people, a hopeful people and so much more positives that elude my mind at this time.
I wish for Dr Dawes a successful journey in becoming a ‘New Truth Change Agent’.
Keep hope alive.
