THE EDITOR, Madam:

Israel’s pro and con judicial reform rallies look similar, but there are core differences between the activists who have been blocking Israeli roads and emboldening Israel’s enemies.

The left-wing rallies are orchestrated and funded by Americans who have no respect for Israel’s democratic elections. They want regime change and to ensure they have unfettered access to Israel’s Supreme Court.

The right-wing rallies are local, demonstrating confidence in their choice of leaders and willing to consider changes to national institutions. Israel’s judicial reforms will bring its Supreme Court more in line with Western democracies.

Can anyone sincerely believe any of these protesters are legal experts?
