Architect and preserver of democracy
THE EDITOR, Madam:
I am sharing this letter which I also wrote to the minister of foreign affairs and foreign trade, Kamina Johnson Smith. The Earth and its inhabitants inherited sin consistent with the theological revelation of Adam and Eve. Christ entered the world without an earthly father to offer rehabilitation, he had experienced denial, crucifixion and death, but he was vested with the privilege of resurrection.
I am appealing to the political leaders on both sides to be very careful how they conduct themselves while serving, be it chief servants, cabinet ministers, leader of the Opposition or shadow spokespeople. I strongly suggest that we submissively put Christ first in our endeavours, pray unceasingly that the voters of the United States will choose a president and an administration that will preserve democracy worldwide.
I was a close friend of Senator Johnson-Smith’s late father during the leadership of Hugh Shearer. I would like to invite the Jamaican Government’s attention that as a people entrusted with the affairs of our brothers and sisters, we must pray unceasing and submissively through Christ likeness. We should make all effort to support the United States in its pursuit to advance and protect democracy.
If we failed, there are two forces that are adverse to our belief, communism that is tantamount to totalitarianism and those who see Christ as merely a prophet and treat women as lesser beings.
In closing I continue to pray unceasingly through Christ likeness that we as a people will focus on Christ our Redeemer.
