Make customer service exam free
THE EDITOR, Madam:
I am writing to express my thoughts on the recent discussions surrounding the grade 10 external exams, specifically the in the customer service subject. As a customer service educator, I strongly believe that making the customer service external exam free at the grade 10 level would be a wise decision.
Customer service is an essential life skill that benefits students in their future careers and personal interactions. By making the exam free, the Ministry of Education would be demonstrating its commitment to equipping students with vital skills, regardless of their financial background.
Moreover, this move would alleviate some of the financial burdens faced by parents and guardians, allowing them to allocate resources to other important areas. It would also motivate students to take the subject more seriously, knowing that they have the opportunity to excel without the added pressure of exam fees.
The Ministry of Education should consider the long-term benefits of making the customer service external exam free at the grade 10 level. It is a small step that can have a significant impact on the development of our young people. I also encourage readers to support this initiative because it would be an asset to them and their household.
