Between the gastronomic delights at Stush in the Bush and the hundreds of feet of white sandy beach at Jamaica Inn, Ocho Rios, the Jamaica Tourist Board’s Destination Update media trip last week was an eye-opener. It provided food for thought for the Canadian and Caribbean press and a wake-up call for local media, some experiencing the best of the best of the Jamaican tourism product. Anchored by Christopher Burke, Sedrecia Francis and new Public Relations and Marketing Manager Fiona Fennel, the five-night, six-day, half-island event, saw Ocean Eden Bay, Half Moon, host hotel Moon Palace, and Chukka laying out the red carpet, proving why Jamaica is really the ‘heartbeat of the world’.
