Team members of Sandals and Beaches Negril had an early start to their morning with a beach clean-up at the Cosmos Beach, in Negril, Westmoreland, to honour World Wetlands Day. Observed on February 2, the day aims to raise global awareness on the significance of wetlands and how persons can preserve and restore those that have been degraded. The initiative, which saw the collection of almost 300lbs of plastic bottles, bags, straws and other scrap and waste materials, is part of the resorts’ and Sandals Foundation’s continuous efforts to protect the island’s natural resources. The Sandals and Beaches Negril team was more than excited to clean up all the garbage they could.
