Laura Facey, the artist responsible for the Redemption Song statue at Emancipation Park, opened her newest exhibition, Laboratory of the Ticking Heart, at Ormsby Hall in downtown Kingston on Sunday. The exhibition represents the artist’s journey to understand the heart of her Jamaican identity and her role as an artist within our society. Well-wishers and art enthusiasts showed up for the opening of the exhibition, which runs until June 10. Naturally, Something Extra was there to bring you the creative happenings.
