John S. Bassie has officially taken over the reins of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the global professional body dedicated to effective dispute resolution. The attorney-at-law, mediator and accountant by training was invested on Thursday inside the Eon Nigel Council Room at The University of the West Indies, Mona campus, regional headquarters. Family, members of government and industry and CIArb peers toasted the global president who is the first Jamaican to hold the position. Something Extra brings you the highlights.
