SAINT stars bloom in new spring collection campaigns
SAINT International models are blooming bright in new Spring/Summer 2023 collections for a diverse class of the global fashion industry’s designers and brands. Brad Allen, Naki Depass, Tomiwa, Kai Newman and Romaine Dixon currently populate the e-commerce web portals for fashion houses Ferragamo, Theory, Faconnable, Helmut Lang, Banana Republic and Pedro del Hierro.
The continent-hopping model quintet showcasing the season’s latest menswear and womenswear trends across multiple online platforms, represent the largest contingent of working black models from any Caribbean territory, and is in of itself a sterling achievement of which SAINT chief executive officer, Deiwght Peters, is exceedingly proud.
“Our SAINT army continue to storm fashion capitals from Paris to New York in record style year after year and it’s a blessing to see them working diligently for established and directional names in the fashion business,” Peters told Living in-between rehearsal sets for his agency’s upcoming Female and Male Fashion Face of the Caribbean competition finals slated for Sunday, April 23 at the AC Hotel Kingston.
“As a model agent now 23 years in the international business, I remain forever proud of how steadfast Tomiwa, Brad, Kai, Romaine and Naki are in their still relatively young careers,” Peters also said.
For the current western Asia-based Allen, who is doubly visible in European-shot spring collection campaigns, separately, for high-end Parisian brand Faconnable and Spanish clothier Pedro del Hierro, “it’s always a great feeling being a face for a renowned fashion company, and to be in two at the same time, is extra nice,” he said enthusiastically.
Meanwhile, Depass, having jetted back to New York after a weeklong shoot in San Francisco last month for Banana Republic’s new online and in-store collection, she’s super-pleased with her work for a new client.
“The team I worked with in California was welcoming and it was a pleasure to be photographed for the Banana Republic brand as I have long been an admirer of their chic and minimalist look,” Depass said.
With just days to go before SAINT’s latest crop of Jamaican model hopefuls are announced to sign international contracts, Peters is optimistic of additional success coming the agency’s way. “I am confident a number of our new faces and roster of stars will show up on the runways for the men’s fashion season and women’s haute couture collections in June and July in Europe, plus the Spring/Summer 2024 collection season in September and October should also prove fruitful, and hopefully, we can continue the history of more global campaigns for luxury fashion houses,” Peters predicted.
