The red carpet at last Sunday’s International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) oozed glamour as members of the music fraternity put their best fashion foot forward to join founder, Dr Ephraim Martin, in celebrating the 40th anniversary of the awards, at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel in New Kingston. The IRAWMA ceremony recognises the accomplishments and contributions of entertainers in reggae and world music and has the stated aim of promoting greater participation and global acceptance of reggae, Caribbean, African, and world music in general.
