The UNICEF/JAFTA Spotlight Shorts JA Premiere saw specially invited guests and local filmmakers out in their numbers at Carib 5 on Sunday, to support the premieres of two new local films, We Need to Talk About Consent and Not by Will. Since 2020, UNICEF has been collaborating with JAFTA to address Gender-Based Violence (GBV) as a national priority in Jamaica. Through its Spotlight Shorts JA initiative, funded by UNICEF, JAFTA engages local filmmakers to portray real-life stories of GBV survivors through film. Here are the social highlights from the premiere.
