Heroes Circle food vendors back on the corner

The food vendors who were removed from National Heroes Circle for the visit of United States President Barack Obama have returned.

The vendors, who are a fixture at the southern section of the popular roadway, selling crab roasted yam and salt fish, had been removed a few days ago as the city prepared for the president's visit.

Earlier this morning, the vendors expressed elation at returning to the area where they make a living.

One of the vendors, who goes by the name Marsha, said a number of customers were also happy that they had returned.

The government was criticised for how the vendors had been removed.
