20-y-o St James man faces gun charges

A 20-year old man is to face the court on firearms charges following his arrest in connection with the seizure of a 9mm pistol in Mount Salem, St James yesterday.
Reports from the Mount Salem police are that about 8:30 a.m., the man was accosted and searched by a police team that was on patrol in an area of the community known as ‘Green Tank’.
The police's Corporate Communication Network said a Smith and Wesson pistol was taken from him.
He is expected to be formally charged this week.
