Guardman Scholars Awarded
Guardsman Limited held its annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony on August 26 when scholarships were awarded to children of security officers and staff members in an effort to offset the financial burden of back-to-school expenses.
Security officers from each zone across the island applied for the scholarship awards and the top 15 scores were selected. The students who successfully completed the 2015 GSAT examinations will start high school this week with scholarships and back-to-school supplies from Guardsman Limited.
Through these scholarship awards, Guardsman aims to not only reward the students for their hard work but to also recognise and encourage the security officers to continue to hone their children's education.
Natalie Thomas was the highest-scoring recipient, achieving an overall average GSAT score of 97.8 per cent, which was very closely followed by Kayla Blackwood with an average of 97.4 per cent. Thomas and Blackwood will be attending Immaculate Conception High School and Campion College, respectively.
In addition to the annual scholarship awards, Guardsman also assists their security officers with the purchasing of textbooks and other pertinent back-to-school supplies each year. This is to ensure that all their children have the necessary tools required to start off the school year.
