UPDATE: Delta says no reports of injuries following plane fire at Sangster
Delta Airlines says there are no reports of injuries arising from today’s fire on-board one of its planes at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St. James.
Some 160 passengers and six crew members were on board.
Responding to questions from The Gleaner via Twitter, Delta said its teams are working to arrange another aircraft to continue the flight.

Delta flight 304 was scheduled to leave Montego Bay for Atlanta in the United States this afternoon.
The airline says the crew observed a flight deck warning of a possible cargo-hold fire on the Boeing 737-800 aircraft and quickly activated fire suppression systems.
It further says passengers were evacuated from the aircraft through emergency exits on to the tarmac while first responders were dispatched to the plane.
