Digicel Gives cash back to civil servants

More than 120,000 civil servants in Jamaica will soon be able to get access to exclusive deals and cash back on their purchases at Digicel, with the introduction of a new Team Jamaica ValuCard initiative. The ValuCard is a collaborative effort of the private-sector and public-sector workers' unions.

Other companies, including Wisynco, Lasco, Fontana Pharmacy, Progressive Grocers, IGL, Tastee and Medical Associates, have joined Digicel with the common goal of giving back to the public-sector workers and improving their spending power.

As an initial offer, public servants who purchase select handsets at Digicel stores islandwide will receive a 10 per cent cash rebate, which will be applied to their ValuCard. Cardholders will also have access to other special deals and offers through the scheme.

The Team Jamaica ValuCard scheme was officially launched on Friday, October 30 at the Super Shopper's Fair at the Boulevard Shopping Centre.
