FHC gives more this season

Thirteen organisations benefited from First Heritage Co-operative Credit Union's (FHC) annual charitable initiative Season of Giving recently, a programme that remains close to the heart of FHC.

"We remain true to our vision, part of which speaks to our focus on advancing the welfare of the communities in which we operate" said Maria Morrison, chief operating officer. She added that Christmas is really about sharing and giving of self, and the team members of the Credit Union are very busy across the country, involved a number of activities, sharing the joy of the season and bringing smiles to faces.

Now in its sixth season, FHC's Season of Giving has donated in excess of JA$ 2 million in cash and gifts to varying organisations working for the advancement of Jamaicans, particularly for youth and the underprivileged. This year, the Credit Union donated a total of $650,000 to its existing charities and newcomers Allman Town Primary, St Paul's United Basic School, and First Missionary Church Basic School.

The remaining charities are Best Care Foundation, St Francis Primary School, Glenhope Place of Safety, St Stephen's Church Clinic, Redeemer Moravian Church, Lyndhurst Methodist Church, Glen Vincent Clinic, All Saints Anglican, Baptist Bay Basic school, and Golden Grove Primary from St Thomas. Each beneficiary received $50,000 and a gift bag.
