The Government is to spend $220 million to provide larger office spaces to the Passport Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA).
Cabinet has given the agency the go ahead to buy three properties for the expansion of its facilities.
The properties are located at 21 West Kings House Road and 3 and 3A North Avenue.
Cabinet says this will allow PICA to move out of its current rental space in Kingston.
It points out that the current office spaces are inadequate to meet the service and operations needs of the agency.
