Mother, daughter charged with death of 10-y-o boy for court this week

The Clarendon woman and her teen daughter who were arrested and charged in connection with the gruesome death of a 10-year-old boy are scheduled to appear in court this week.
Eighteen-year-old Lanei Lewis and her 40-year-old mother, Glenda Wright, both of Portland Cottage, are charged with murder and attempting to pervert the course of justice, as well as failing to report a felony.
They are scheduled to appear in the May Pen Resident Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
The body of 10-year-old Juvea Cooper was found in a shallow grave in Portland Cottage last Sunday with his throat slashed and one of his hands severed.
